When you have an investment worthy of protecting, an upgrade to a safety back for your earrings will give you that extra piece of mind. These specialty backs are slightly larger than the standard backing at 7mm. They feature a mechanism that requires the wearer to pinch either side of the backing to pull them off in order to protect against accidental loss from loose backings or an accidental snag. These safety backs are made by Protektor and are made to fit standard earring posts. They are available in sterling silver, 10k, 14k, 18k, and platinum. They are sold in pairs. Note: the platinum option is only available in a 6.2mm sized backing.
